I am pleased to endorse Alex Sharp for the position of County Judge here in Putnam County. I am retired from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office having spent 26 years associated with the agency. During this time we worked closely with the Palatka Police Department and I came to know Detective Sharp as a qualified and professional law enforcement officer. Following my retirement from the Sheriff’s Office I had the privilege of serving as Interim Police Chief of the Palatka Police Department while the City of Palatka chose a new chief. During this time I worked with Detective Sergeant Alex Sharp on a daily basis.

I found that Alex Sharp cares about people, cares about the law and cares about what is right. He has compassion but also is very professional and always strives to do the right thing. From a law enforcement point of view I whole heartedly endorse Alex Sharp for the position of County Judge.
